Jo has been active in fandom since 2001ish when she helped her boyfriend with the running of Exeter University's Microcon - a convention which traditionally had more guests than attendees...
Eighteen years later:
she has organised two Microcons as well as being part of the organising committee for the first two Fforde Ffiestas (celebrating the work of Jasper Fforde. Jasper was also GoH at the first Microcon she organised, an honour given based on the speed of response to the invite);
the boyfriend is now a husband; and
they now live half way round the world from Exeter.
The latter of the three is in no way a knock on impact of the first two...
