I have been a science fiction/speculative fiction fan for as long as I can remember. I have been involved in SF fandom for about 20 years. I have been to many New Zealand NatCons and one Worldcon, AussieCon Three in 1999, what a great con! I'm excited and nervous about the possibility of a Worldcon in NZ in 2020, but if it does happen I definitely want to be involved. I'm particularly keen on being involved in publications for the con, and on committees organising the opening ceremony and masquerade. I have some writing experience so I can sling an adequate sentence together, and I want to develop a few skills on the publishing front. There may well be other things I would be willing to get involved in, but that's a good start. Roll on 2020!
